About
Dr. Jerry W. Logan was born and raised in Winchester, Indiana. He received his Doctor’s degree from Indiana’s Optometry School in 1969. While in school, he had his thesis paper (on vision in outer space) published in a national optometry magazine. He served two years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, receiving an award for his work with children’s vision at Womack Army Hospital. In Richmond, he has been president of the Heart Association, the Y.M.C.A., the Kiwanis Club, the Whitewater Valley Optometric Society, and the Indiana University Wayne County Alumni Club. He has also served on the board of the Jaycees, the Chamber of Commerce, the Forest Hills Country Club, and the United Way. He is currently on the board of the I.U. Wayne County Alumni Club, the I.U. National Executive Council, the I.U. Optometrsy School Dean’s board, and the I.U. Optometry School Alumni Club. He was an assistant Richmond High School soccer coach for many years. He is married to Terri, who designs jewelry at the Terri Logan Studio. They have two grown children, Ryan and Greg. His primary hobbies include I.U. basketball, photography, and travel.
