While we’re a locally-owned practice with small community values, we use advanced eye care technology to best care for you and your family.

While some vision issues can be corrected with glasses, contacts, a prescription change, or something simple, that isn’t always the case. Our advanced technology allows our eye doctors to view and measure your eyes in multiple ways so we can get to the root of your vision problem faster and treat it more effectively.

OPTOS Daytona Retinal Camera

The OPTOS Daytona Retinal Camera captures a wide-field image of your retina to allow early detection of retinal conditions such as diabetes, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. This quick screening is done prior to your comprehensive exam and will be saved to your file and can be referred back to at all future appointments.

OptoVue OCT-Angiography

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) provides non-invasive imaging of the 10 individual layers of your retina. An OCT scan can help diagnose macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and many other eye diseases.

At ETF, our specialized OptoVue OCT-A has the additional capability to perform non-invasive angiography. OCT angiography images the blood vessel layers above and below the retina to detect diabetes, macular degeneration, and other vascular disease changes sooner than standard OCT images.

Topcon Topographer

The cornea is susceptible to diseases that disrupt its shape and surface. Any disruption can result in a distorted image, blur, or increased glare. Our Topcon Topographer is able to measure the surface of the eye and detect these diseases that could be affecting the quality of your vision.

VEP & ERG

Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP) and Electroretinograms (ERG) are two forms of objective testing that allow our doctors to evaluate the function of all structures along your visual pathway—including the retina, optic nerve, and visual cortex of the brain—without requiring a response from the patient.

VEP and ERG are especially useful with non-verbal patients, young children, and non-English speaking patients, as well as when other test results—such as OCT and visual fields—are borderline abnormal.
