Dan Host, OD

Dr. Dan Host grew up in Kokomo, Indiana and attended Indiana University-Kokomo and later, Indiana University – Bloomington to study optometry. He met his wife, Nancy, while in optometry school. 

Upon graduation in 1977, Dr. and Mrs. Host moved to Bethesda, MD, where Dr. Host joined the Medical Service Corps of the U.S. Navy. At the conclusion of his two years of service, Dr. Host purchased the practice of a retiring optometrist in Huntington, IN, now Huntington Eye Care.

Huntington has been good to the Host family. Dr. Host has enjoyed serving the community of Huntington through optometry for many years and has become an important part of the fabric of the city. Dr. and Mrs. Host have two children and seven grandchildren, and Huntington Eye Care has now become part of the Evans & Taylor Eye Care Group of optometry practices, serving communities across Indiana.
